The BFM will act as the IAFP’s principal trade authority in the UK, and will work closely with Furniture News to represent and promote the UK trade.

The BFM has represented the interests of the British furniture industry in all sectors for more than 60 years, and lobbies and advances the interests of the furniture industry directly with Government and through the British Furniture Confederation (BFC), the All Party Parliamentary Furniture Industry Group of the House of Commons, and in the EU through the European Furniture Association (UEA). It also promotes British-manufactured furniture directly to consumers.

Adam Mason, commercial director of the BFM, says: “As a leading player in the UEA and World Furniture Confederation, our new partnership with Furniture News further enhances BFM as the leading authority on the UK furniture industry. There will be significant benefits and opportunities for our members and we look forward to developing the reputation of the UK furniture industry around the world.”

Furniture News editor Paul Farley adds: “The BFM the ideal partner for the development of international opportunities, and I’m pleased to have the association beside me as I represent the UK on this board.”
